David Somló komt vanuit Budapest naar HUBS Immersive om met het publiek zijn performance Mandala uit te voeren. Binnen het Hindoeïsme en Boeddhisme symboliseert de cirkelvormige Mandala figuur het universum. Op een speelse manier verkent David met ons de sociale interactie, relaties en structuren die ontstaan in onze tijdelijke microcosmos van het festival.
David Somló is opgeleid in interdisciplinaire compositie in Londen en volgde een studie sociologie in Hongarije. In zijn creaties moedigen een combinatie van geluid, performance en improvisatie je aan om in de ervaring op te gaan en vervaagt de grens tussen waarneming en actie. Met de nadruk die hij legt op de interactie tussen personen en hun fysieke, sociale en intieme ruimten, stemt hij zijn werk steeds weer af op de zeer diverse plekken waar ze zich afspelen.
David Somló comes from Budapest to HUBS Immersive to create the performance of Mandala, together with the audience. Within Hinduism and Buddhism the circular mandala symbolizes the universe. In a playful way David interrogates means of social interaction, relations and structures that arrise in our temporary microcosmos of the festival. Mandala asks how we might exist and interact with each other when there is nothing left to do but walk.
