Michiel Cox

Michiel Cox werkt momenteel in Rotterdam aan zijn romandebuut en komt naar Den Haag met zijn literaire installatie Laat hier je portret schrijven, waarmee hij o.a. tijdens Delft Fringe al op menig festivalbezoeker indruk maakte.

Michiel Cox (Tongeren, 1989) is schrijver en performer. Hij studeerde taal- en letterkunde aan de Universiteit Antwerpen en theatrale performance aan de Toneelacademie Maastricht. Hij schrijft theaterteksten voor o.a. het Ro Theater, Ulrike Quade Company en de Tekstsmederij. Daarnaast steekt hij veel tijd in korte verhalen en brieven. Er werd werk van hem gepubliceerd in De Gids en in publicaties van Showroom MAMA en Workspace Brussels. Hij bouwt ook literaire installaties waarmee hij portretten schrijft en verhalen verzint gebaseerd op herinneringen van bezoekers.

Michiel Cox is currently working on his debut novel in Rotterdam and comes to The Hague with his literary installation Laat hier je portret schrijven (Let your portret be written here), with which he impressed many festival visitors during i.e. the Delft Fringe Festival.

Michiel Cox (Tongeren, 1989) is a writer and performer. He studied language and literature at the University of Antwerp and theatrical performance at the Toneelacademie Maastricht. He writes theater texts for Ro Theater, Ulrike Quade Company and the Textmakerij, amongst others. In addition, he spends a lot of time writing short stories and letters. His work was published in De Gids (The Guide, the oldest literary and cultural magazine of the Netherlands) and in publications by Showroom MAMA (Media and Moving Art Rotterdam) and Workspace Brussels. He also builds literary installations with which he writes portraits and creates stories based on memories of visitors.
