We kregen zo’n 250 aanmeldingen binnen toen we in het voorjaar een ‘open call’ voor kunstwerken plaatsten. Onder andere Scenocosme uit Lyon meldde zich aan.
Het kunstenaarsduo, dat bestaat uit Gregory Lasserre en Anais met den Ancxt, creëert sinds 2003 interactieve installaties: van visuele- en digitale- tot geluidskunst, collectieve performances en meer. Ze kantelen de mogelijkheden van diverse technologieën om met hun kunst de essentie van dromen en poëzie op een gevoelige en delicate manier tastbaar te maken.
Hun interactieve werken zijn vaak een hybride vorm van de technologische en levende wereld. De vaak kleinschalige vorm ervan levert een bijdrage aan de poging om een ontmoeting tussen bezoekers te faciliteren rond bijzondere zintuigelijke ervaringen. Het werk van Scenocosme was en is wereldwijd te zien in musea en tijdens digitale kunstfestivals.
About 250 (!) artists applied when we organised an open call for artworks for the HUBS Immersive Festival earlier this year. One of them was Scenocosme, from Lyon.
The artist couple Gregory Lasserre and Anais met den Ancxt have been working under the name Scenocosme since 2003. Their singular artworks use diverse expressions: interactive installations, visual art, digital art, sound art, collective performances…. Scenocosme mix art and digital technology to find substances of dreams, poetry, sensitivity and delicacy. These artists overturn various technologies in order to create contemporary artworks. Their works come from possible hybridizations between the technology and living world. Their artworks are exhibited in numerous museums, contemporary art centres and digital art festivals around the world.
